This race combines the energy of downtown Detroit, the beauty of the Detroit Riverwalk and Belle Isle, and the unbeatable atmosphere of finishing at a brewery with friends, family, and the running community.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best in the USATF-certified 10 Mile, running your first Detroit 5K, or walking and pushing a stroller, Growler Gallop Atwater offers a course and celebration for everyone.

Course Details

10 Mile: A USATF-certified course along the Detroit Riverwalk and around Belle Isle, offering fast, scenic miles and a true Detroit running experience. 5K: A flat, fast course along the Riverwalk with a turnaround just before the Belle Isle Bridge. This race is walker- and stroller-friendly, making it ideal for all ages and paces. Virtual Option: Run from anywhere and still earn your medal, hoodie, and your fifth piece of the Trivium Mega Medal. What You Get

Clubs with 12 or more members registered two weeks from race day unlock exclusive race-day perks like a team tent in the Club Village, club-only porta potties, and packets delivered to your tent. All clubs, regardless of size, are entered into the club competition, where every finisher earns points (10 Mile finishes = double points).

The 2026 charity partner is The Agape Project , a local nonprofit that provides inclusive racing opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Their athletes compete in specially designed racing chairs, pushed by volunteer runners, so they can experience the same excitement and triumph of crossing the finish line. Donations can be made during registration or directly to support their mission.
