The vibe (AI-assisted text)

This event is all about community and a crucial cause: elevating autism awareness. You'll find a warm, inclusive atmosphere where runners and walkers of all ages come together to support individuals with autism. It's less about setting a personal record and more about connecting, sharing experiences, and helping educate the community. Expect a supportive crowd focused on making a difference.

Best for (AI-assisted text)

This event is perfect for families, casual runners, and walkers looking to support a meaningful cause. It's ideal for those who want to contribute to autism awareness and enjoy a community-focused event without intense competitive pressure. It's also a great option for beginners looking for an approachable 5K or 1-mile distance.

Race day (AI-assisted text)

Race morning kicks off with the 5K at 9:00 AM, followed by the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk at 9:50 AM, making it easy for families or those wanting a shorter distance. An awards presentation is scheduled for 10:15 AM, celebrating participants and the cause. Given the 'Fun Run/Walk' aspect, expect a relaxed packet pickup and a friendly, unpressured start line with a mix of serious runners and casual participants.

Personality (AI-assisted text)

The Elevate Autism event has a heartfelt and community-oriented personality. It's welcoming and educational, aiming to foster understanding and connection rather than just a race. The tone is supportive and encouraging, creating a space where everyone feels valued, whether they're running, walking, or cheering.

Weather snapshot (AI-assisted text)

Taking place in Cartersville, GA in mid-April, you can generally expect pleasant spring weather. Temperatures are typically mild, but it's wise to be prepared for anything from a cool morning to a warmer, sunny day. Spring showers are always a possibility in Georgia, so a light rain jacket might be a good idea.

Terrain & course feel (AI-assisted text)

The race is held at Sam Smith Park and is a USATF-Certified Race, which strongly suggests a course on paved paths or roads. Given it's a park setting and a 5K, the terrain is likely to be relatively flat or feature gentle rolling inclines, making it accessible for all participants.

Unless you are a parent of one with Autism, you might not know many of the facts.  This race is to help us help them.

Q. What is 'Boost Abilities, LLC'??

A. While we are still relatively small for now, we intend to grow so that we can elevate autism awareness in our community to help everyone see the world from a different angle.  Our mission is to help educate communities about autism, allowing everyone to begin thinking outside the box...this means connecting, sharing life experiences, and partnering parents with community leaders, all done for the safety of each of our members on the spectrum.  With your help, we CAN DO it.

Whether you're a front-o-the-packer or pushing that kiddie stroller casually at the back, we invite you to come out to a lovely April race and see if it might just change you.  We think it will!!! Register early to secure your spot, and even save some dough if you register in February. Either way, just grab a few of your friends and family members, and let’s have some FUN together!
