This is a Chip timed 8K event that participants can run,walk or Ruck on the 4th of July on the historic Yorktown Virginia Battlefield Tour Road. Celebrate Independence on the best 8K running/walking course on the Peninsula! Race participants will park and gather near the York High School tennis courts ( 9300 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown, VA 23692) and will be led to the start line by Fife and Drummers. Race Day packet pick up only! 7AM-8:30 AM.

The 8K race starts at 8 AM. The 5K Fun Run starts at 8:30 AM
All 8K participants receive a custom race T ( Custom Race T and T shirt size guaranteed to those registered by June 24th, 2026) and the first 350 to register and finish receive a beautiful custom die cast commemorative medal. Awards for the top three overall men and women. 8K participants will compete for Age Group awards starting at 14 and under, 15-19, Five year increments from 20-24 to 75 and over.
8K Ruck Division. Awards to the top overall Male and Female Ruck finisher.
This year the 5k is Chip timed. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to the top three men and women in age groups: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 10 year increments 20-29, to 80 and over
All 5K Run participants receive a finisher coin and a custom race T while supplies last ( Custom Race T and T shirt size guaranteed to those registered by June 24th, 2026) .
Refreshments and post race celebration after your finish.
