The 5K Run will begin at 8am EST and the 5K Walk Only begin at 8:05amEST.   

Registration and the start of the race take place on Main Street between 8th and 9th Street in Jasper, Indiana.

Pre-registrants can fill out their registration before the race and deliver it to St. John Bosco Youth Ministry at PO Box 908, Jasper, IN 47547.

Early Packet Pickup:
  Preregistered participants can pick up their bibs and T-shirts anytime from 8am-6pm at the Bosco house on Friday, July 31st

Bosco House 214 W 13th St. Jasper, IN

Packets can also be picked up on race day between 7am-7:55 am EST. by the start line at 808 Main St. Jasper, IN.

 

Refreshments:
Free refreshments including fruit and water will be available for the participants at the end of the race.

Timing:
The race will be timed by To The Finish Timing  www.tothefinishtiming.com

Awards & T-shirts:
Awards will be presented to the first three places in each division of the male and female categories in the 5K Run. An award will also be presented to the overall winner in the male and female categories. Participants will receive a unique Strassenfest Wettlauf t-shirt as part of the registration fee (while supplies last). All t-shirts and awards are courtesy of Deaconess Hospital.

Only a limited number of t-shirts of varying sizes are ordered. Size requests will be honored while supplies last.

Race Divisions:
For men and women:
0-10 years of age, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over

The Course:
The 5K run includes rolling, paved city streets. The route is well-marked, policed, and has ample water stations. There will be mile splits. No dogs are allowed in this race.

After the Races:
The Wettlauf is part of a four-day German festival in Jasper. It begins on Thursday, July 30th, and continues through Sunday, August 2nd. The fest features numerous food booths, rides, exhibits, concessions, events, and competitions while celebrating the German heritage with a “Street Festival” or Strassenfest!
