From the organizer

Warrior Walk is a charity fundraising event for The Special Operations Warrior Foundation sponsored by Red Rope, where you reach out to family members, friends, or whoever is willing to sponsor YOU or YOUR TEAM for every lap that you run. The race will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with the loop starting and ending between the Embry-Riddle Student Union and the Willie Miller Instructional Center. You do not need to run/walk for the whole duration of the event, just show up whenever you're available from 7am-7pm and walk/run for as long as you would like! If you are planning on doing it as a team we recommend that you have anywhere from 2-10 members on your team, with at least one person from your team running at a time. Signup is $10.00 a person and an additional $20.00 for a shirt. Registration will get you access to potential prizes that will be awarded to categories such as: Most miles run by a team/individual, most money raised, best team name, and several others that will be announced during the awards ceremony.

About Red Rope

Red Rope’s main goal is to create an opportunity for ERAU students to experience a Special Operations style of training through an actual Special Operations training syllabus and by working in conjunction with active duty special operators, those who have gotten experience in past special operations environments, and past graduates.

On top of training for entry into a special operations career field, Red Rope has a special emphasis on community service. Through the Red Cross, volunteering, and events like this, Red Rope participants will actively be a part of representing its organization and ERAU to the surrounding community.

We also create an environment that fuels internal competition, allowing members to push each other past their own self-defined, individual limits in a strongly enforced team atmosphere. In addition, Red Rope team members train for and participate in physical fitness competitions throughout the year.
