The 2026 Short’s Shortest Marathon: 262 Feet of Glory

Think you've got what it takes to conquer a marathon?

Don’t worry—this isn't that. Welcome our take on a race—a grueling, sweat-inducing, totally ridiculous 262-foot dash designed for champions of chug, in-and-around the Short’s Brewing Company production campus and ending with cheers at the Pull Barn. Join us for the first ever Short's Shortest Marathon. The walk back to the Pull Barn may be longer than the actual race but trust us: 262 feet is just long enough to justify wearing athletic gear so you can claim eternal bragging rights and a sweet race cup, all while raising funds for TART Trails' Nakwema Trailway Project.

What to expect:

A "marathon" that's over faster than you can say Thirst Mutilator Official short sleeved, Short’s Shortest Race commemorative tee Finishers medal A bib number you will want to post on Instagram, tag @shortsbrewing (duh!) An aid station strategically located at the course midpoint to provide maximum hydration Finish line glory - complete with cheers, high fives and photos  (think: the theme from Rocky) An afternoon post-race celebration at your favorite watering hole in Elk Rapids All proceeds from the event will go towards the TART Trails' Nakwema Trailway project, which makes your athletic accomplishment even better than an ice-cold Huma Lupa Licious. In addition to the proceeds of the event. $1 of each pint sold that day will be donated to Nakwema Trailway.
