The Good Fight 5k Run/Walk is a race that will be held on April 18, 2026 at Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green, KY.

The event is held in memory of Vernon Long, who was an avid runner who passed from cancer in October 2021. This year, the event is also held in memory of Lacey Poppy, who after a valiant fight against cancer - passed in 2023. All proceeds from this event will be going to Life’s Better Together, Inc. and will be directly donated to support a family where someone is undergoing treatment for cancer.

Your participation and support of this event not only helps the  family but shows reverence for all who are battling cancer. Our hope is that through this event, we can help those who are impacted find a community and not feel alone in fighting the good fight of cancer treatment.
