From the organizer

A 5k in honor of our friend Derek Dexter who passed away suddenly in May of 2024. Derek loved running and promoting the sport of running. This 5k honors Derek in the best way we know how. Participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher award.

Standard pricing is $35 through April 11.

All minors register for just $25!

Onsite registration will increase to $50 and is CASH ONLY.

* Please note that a MetroParks pass or a $10 day pass is required to enter Lake Saint Clair MetroPark.*

This is a stroller and dog friendly race course.

The Derek Dexter Detroit Memorial 5k will be providing scholarships to local high school athletes who are pursuing engineering and have a love of running.
