The Silva Strong Run & Walk is an annual community event held in loving memory of Mayor Robert Silva, a dedicated leader who devoted his life to serving and strengthening the Mendota community. Known for his integrity, heart for public service, and commitment to youth and community development, Mayor Silva also served as the founding Chairperson of the Mendota Community Corporation.
This family-friendly event features a 5K Run, 2-Mile Walk, and a Kids Fun Run, welcoming participants of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, Silva Strong is a celebration of unity, resilience, and community pride.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Mendota Community Corporation, continuing Mayor Silva’s vision of uplifting and empowering the community he loved.
