Welcome to the Second Annual ROCC The Journey 5K "The Comeback Tour" - where music, movement, and recovery come together for something bigger than just a run. Whether you’re lacing up for your very first 5K or showing up to support someone you love, this day is all about celebration, strength, and community.

This event raises awareness for sobriety and recovery, reminding us that every step forward matters. All proceeds benefit The Recovery Outreach Community Center (ROCC), a nonprofit dedicated to providing recovery support services by partnering with local resources to strengthen individuals, preserve families, and build healthier communities through peer empowerment.

Race Information: 

The race will begin on Joplin Street (behind) The ROCC located at 1402 S Main Joplin, MO at 7 AM on September 19th, 2026. 

Packet Pick-Up at The ROCC 

  • 11:00 AM to 4 PM-  Friday September 18th
  • 6:00 AM to 6:30 AM- Saturday September 19th

Entry Fee: 

  • $35 (early bird)- until August 1st, 2026
  • Price increase to $40 after early bird 

Finisher & Award Information:

  • All participants receive finisher medals
  • Awards given to the top overall male and female finishers, plus first, second, and third in all age categories 
  • "Comeback Story-Recovery Rockstar" Recognition (nominate someone who you feel is a ROCKSTAR in Recovery)

10 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

The ROCKSTAR in Recovery will be recognized at the event on September 19th. Submissions may be submitted now through September 5th, 2026.
