Lace up and go purple for a cause that matters! The Purple Path 5K is a fun, inclusive run/walk dedicated to raising awareness and support for Epilepsy. Whether you are a seasoned runner, casual jogger, or walking with friends and family, this event welcomes all ages and abilities.
The story behind this event
My name is Brody Mace, and I am a junior at Nease High School, a Varsity Soccer player, and the President of the Epilepsy Awareness Club. When I was 12 years old, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. Since then, I have become deeply passionate about supporting others affected by this condition and raising awareness within my community. I have worked hard to ensure that epilepsy does not define me or limit what I can achieve.
Inspired by my own experiences managing seizures while staying active, I am hosting a 5K run in Nocatee to raise awareness, promote safety and education, and bring our community together around compassion and understanding. This event will also encourage healthy lifestyles for people of all abilities. My hope is to turn a very real personal challenge into something positive—something that empowers others and sparks meaningful conversations about epilepsy.
This 5K will be a fundraiser, and all proceeds will be donated to the Epilepsy Foundation to support education, advocacy, and families affected by epilepsy.
Race is a chip timed event by Florida Race Day and will be awarding fastest runners by age and gender
Participants receive a Race Shirt while supplies last
