A 5k race for veterans organizations in memory of those who fought for our freedom. Poppy Run 5k: Honoring Our Nation's Fallen Heroes. Founded by Grady Langenderfer as a tribute to his grandfather's friends who never made it home from Vietnam. This year's proceeds support Flag City Honor Flight, Fisher House Foundation. Please join us on May 23rd, 2026, for a 5k run/walk at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Wauseon, Ohio. "The event will begin with a pre-race Memorial Day ceremony", followed by the 5k run/walk, and a kids' 1/2 mile race to follow. Finisher medals and age group awards will be given, but please note that awards will not be shipped and participants must be present for the awards ceremony.
Overall Male/Female and Overall Masters (40+) receive awards! Top 3 in each age group receive a banner! Age Group Awards: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85 & older.
