From the organizer

The Isabella County Prosecuting Attorney's Office-Victim Rights Program is hosting a hero 5K fun run/ 1 mile walk to commemorate National Crime Victim's Rights Week.

Make it a SUPER day and bring your family, capes and smiles encouraged. Dress up as your favorite super hero costume for this event! If you do not have a costume, no problem. We will have masks and capes available for all!

The event will take place at Island Park, Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Join us for a fun 5k course that will take participants through our beautiful downtown park system or lace up for a 1 mile walk along the scenic route surrounding Island Park.

The purpose of this family friendly 5k fun run/ 1 mile walk is to bring together our community’s resources and showcase how we work together to raise awareness for victims of crime in our area. By coming together, we hope to create a more inclusive field so that every victim has the access to services and the support they need. They are the true heroes!

Since 1981, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) has challenged the Nation to confront and remove barriers to achieve justice for all victims of crime. During NCVRW, we recognize the accomplishments of the victims’ rights movement and reflect on how far we have come.

Every April, The Office of Justice Programs, Office for Victims of Crime, leads communities throughout the country in their annual observances of NCVRW. In 2026, we will observe NCVRW, with the theme—

Listen. Act. Advocate. Protect victims, serve communities.

We have nominated all proceeds will be awarded to McLaren Central Michigan (S.A.N.E.) Program.
