From the organizer
On behalf of the Diane Miller Gift of Hope Fund , we invite you to our Summer Bash event featuring the Farm Fresh 5K & 10K. This is a rugged, all-terrain course which takes place on Miller Plant Farm - our working Century Farm. The course consists of paved and stone surfaces, grassy farm and wooded trails, and more. Our new 10K course takes you under a low-clearance bridge and travels through muddy creek twice. You will experience beautiful views of the Leader Heights region of Southern York County. Overall winners, both male and female and top age group winners, in both events will receive a prize. All 5K & 10K participants receive a Miller Plant Farm produce sampler.
In early 2019 the Diane Miller Gift of Hope Fund (GOHF) was established. This fund was created in honor of the Plant Farm’s own Diane Miller, who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer June 16, 2018. During Diane's 40 month battle she met many cancer patients that had to make difficult decisions between treatments or paying the bills. Her heart went out to them and she wanted to help. She learned of the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund that benefits patients with financial hardships. We are a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to keep Diane’s passion alive...To Give HOPE.
The Diane Miller GOHF is a 501(c)(3) organization created to allow all contributions to be tax deductible. This fund is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families during hardships created by a cancer diagnosis. Cancer does not discriminate and practically every family has been affected in some way by this disease. As a community it is important that we make an effort to support each other. Since we began this event in 2017, more than $300,000 has been donated to the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund!
100% of proceeds will benefit the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund.
