Military Matters VeteRUN 5K Run/Walk

Welcome to the Annual Military Matters VeteRUN 5k!

Anyone can run/walk in support of Military Matters! We will be hosting multiple organizations who support our local veterans, and will have fun family activities available for all who attend.

Proceeds from the 5k will go to Military Matters, a program that fills the gap in legal services to military service members and veterans. To learn more about the program visit militarymatterskc.org.

Racecourse: See below for a map of the racecourse. PLEASE NOTE: We have updated the race course to be the same start/end point to ensure better accuracy of your race times. Please take caution if you plan to run/walk with a stroller or wheelchair as the route is typical sidewalk-width.

T-Shirts & Swag: PLEASE NOTE: We hope to be able to provide each participant with a t-shirt, however please be understanding if we run out.

Race Information:

Packet Pick-Up: Packet pick-up will take place the morning of the race, August 15, starting at 7:00AM. NOTE: Register by August 1 to receive a t-shirt.

Schedule: August 15, 2026 7:00AM - Race Day Registration Opens/Packet Pick-Up 8:00 AM - 5K Run/Walk Starts 8:45 AM - Kids fun run following the 5k 9:00 AM - Awards on the North Lawn

Awards: Awards will be given to the top overall female and male, the top overall female and male veteran, and the top males and females in each age group (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+).

Animals/Pets: Services animals only.
