Best for (AI-assisted text)

This event is ideal for community members, families, and students looking for a fun and supportive race experience. It's perfect for casual runners, walkers, and those who want to contribute to a local high school's athletic programs. If you enjoy a race with a celebratory finish, this one's for you.

Race day (AI-assisted text)

Race day kicks off bright and early with the Kid's 1K at 8:00 am, where young runners can join Jag Athletes on the high school track for a fun run. The main 5K event follows at 8:30 am, starting on campus and winding through local roads before a triumphant finish back on the Johnson Track. Anticipate a festive post-race celebration with awards, delicious food trucks, music, and games, creating a lively social hub for participants and supporters alike.

Personality (AI-assisted text)

The JagDash has a warm, community-oriented personality, focusing on shared enjoyment and local pride. It's a friendly event where the emphasis is on participation, support, and celebration rather than intense competition. The atmosphere is inclusive and encouraging, making everyone feel welcome, whether they're pushing for a PR or simply enjoying the walk.

Weather snapshot (AI-assisted text)

Taking place in San Antonio, TX in April, runners can generally expect warm to mild temperatures. Humidity might be a factor, especially as the morning progresses. It's wise to hydrate well and dress in light, breathable layers, preparing for potentially sunny conditions.

Terrain & course feel (AI-assisted text)

The course will feature a mix of surfaces, starting on Johnson High School's campus, moving onto Bulverde Road, and concluding on the school's track. This suggests a predominantly paved route with some track running. Given the location, the terrain is likely to be relatively flat, offering a steady and manageable run.
