WHAT IS IT

A fun and mission driven 5K and 1-Mile event for any age group - young and old. Walk, run, or jog!

WHAT MAKES THIS UNIQUE

Participants will follow a route that tells the story of the Hmong people - starting with origins in Western China, migration to Southeast Asia, and then spreading around the world - all while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Hart Square Village in Vale, NC.

WHY

Proceeds and any donation from this platform will go to HHR 5K, which will:

Support Hmong cultural preservation and education Sustain programs for the Hmong community in our state Solidify a location to store, showcase, and preserve vital pieces of the Hmong people's identity and family histories - such as traditional handcrafts, arts, instruments, and more. ABOUT US

The Hmong Heritage Run 5K was established in April 2023 as a collaborative effort between the Hmong community in North Carolina and our current fiscal sponsor, Arts Culture Catawba, a DBA of the United Arts Council of Catawba County. This event creates a space to share Hmong culture, promote health and well-being, and introduce the broader public to who the Hmong people are. We want to connect today’s generations while strengthening relationships with the broader community. Learn more about us at facebook.com/hhr5k.
