Heart of Luverne Virtual 5k Walk/Run

Join us for the 2nd Annual  Heart of Luverne Virtual 5K Walk/Run, a special event created to honor the beautiful life and legacy of Luverne Hill, who passed away from sudden cardiac arrest and lived with congestive heart failure.

Luverne was a kind, generous woman who treated everyone with compassion and love. She was a devoted grandmother, known for her warm hugs, her amazing home-cooked meals, and the way she made every person feel valued. Her heart truly made the world a better place.

This virtual event takes place during Luverne’s birthday week (August  6th). Participants can complete their 5K (3.11 miles) any time between August 2nd–9th, 2026, from anywhere in the world — walk, jog, or run at your own pace!

Whether you’re walking in memory of someone you love, raising awareness for heart health, or simply showing support, your participation matters. Let’s walk (or run) together to honor those impacted by heart disease and celebrate the heart that inspired this movement.
