From the organizer
On behalf of the Elmira Heights PBA, we would like to share with you a new community event as we are bringing back some of the past. We are starting a new 5K race to bring this tradition back to the area. Those who remember the Brad Sanford Race which was a staple in the community for some time, we are looking to mirror previous success and keep the school district included.
As we started planning this 5K we wanted to make sure we used the proceeds to benefit a current Thomas Edison senior who will be going off to college or a trade school to further their education. With this thought in mind we decided to have proceeds go towards a student scholarship. Whether it be for books, helping pay for a new computer or whatever it may be, the members of the PBA wanted to help assist a special student who will be continuing their hard work with their next endeavor in life.
We graciously ask for any donation you may be able to make. Whether it be monetary, volunteering or lacing up your running shoes and running a quick 3.10 miles, we would greatly appreciate it.
EHPBA's first 5K to support a graduating senior from Thomas Edison who is furthering their education by going to college or trade school.
Race starts at 9am at Oakridge Park.
