A  great race to train for the Ghost Train Trail Race or any other 100 miler ! 

FYI: Update: see first the Enchanted will be on Saturday  March 21, 2026  and will will start at 8:30 am (EST) until  2:30 pm. It is a great race for training in fact the Enchanted 6 hour feeds training for the Fogotten 9 hour Saturday May 16, which leads to the Centurion 33 hour June 27/28, 2026 for a 100 mile buckle.  Do as many miles or hours, as you wish over single and double track with typical New England trails of roots, rocks and rolling hills.  https://rooseveltforestultras.com/

You stand at the edge of an endurance conquest, where only the strong of heart and relentless of spirit dare to push forward. Roosevelt Forest is your proving ground, the trail your battlefield, and time itself your greatest adversary.In the grand tradition of the Centurions, this is no ordinary test of endurance—it is a war against the limits of mind, body, and soul.

Race Day:
Complete 100 miles in 33 hours: The top 3 male and female runners will be those who reach 100 miles the fastest within 33 hours. Regardless of podium placement, all runners who reach 100 will get a buckle! All runners, hikers, walkers and crawlers will receive a Forbidden Forest Commendation upon completion.


Course: The Centurion Ultra features a 2.1-mile loop with 193 feet of elevation gain per lap. The course consists of classic New England terrain with roots, rocks, and rolling hills.Tough, doable and memorable.

Race Logistics: Bib & SWAG Pickup: Begins at 7:00 AM at the pavilion on Saturday June 27th. Tent set up: Tents, canopies, and personal crew stations can be set up in the “rest and recuperation area between 3-6 pm on Friday June 26th. This is located at the field adjacent to the pavilion and picnic area (note: not responsible for theft or damages). There can be absolutely NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING on Friday night per Town Ordinance.

Parking: Please do not enter the forest parking lot before 6:45 AM on Saturday to allow for final setup. Park efficiently, as space is limited. Larger vehicles should use the side lot (no RVs). Aid Station: The pavilion is the only aid station. The loop is 2.5 miles, so plan accordingly. Dogs are permitted as spectators, but must be kept on leash.

Restrooms: Porta potties are conveniently located nearby.<br />GPS Address: 700 Peters Lane, Stratford, CT.

Registration: This Ultra is limited to 50 Participants, meaning you are not one of 200 to 400 participants, so this is “your personal race for your personal best”. To maintain the competitive integrity of the event, registration is final. Please understand that there are absolutely no refunds, bib transfers or race deferrals for any reason. CDC/State/Town requirements are strictly applied. You must be at least 18 years old or have a Parental/Guardian signed waiver. Entry fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, starting well in advance of the race date--including course preparation, race supplies, permits, and administration. Additionally, diversified charities receive some support from each of the Roosevelt Forest Ultras.

Swag and Fuel: Excellent ultra hydration and food options are provided for runners throughout the entire race. While we do our best to accommodate all diets, please bring your own fueling options if you have specific needs. Lots of exciting swag is included in your race entry, including non-alcoholic beer from our sponsor Athletic Brewing. Additional swag is available for purchase at the race. Race t-shirts are available for purchase when registering, and a limited quantity will be available for purchase on race day (sizes not guaranteed). 

Crew & Pacers: 🏃‍♂️ PACER INFO:  Pacers are allowed after 8:30 PM on Saturday (12 hours in) or having already fielded 60 miles. Strictly one pacer per runner at a time. Pacer fee: $50, pay in the pavilion knowing the goal can be accomplished; also $25 for Pacers with 6 hours to race finish (2:30PM) and must sign waiver. All Pacers receive a wrist band to wear or Runner will be DISQUALIFIED for an unregistered Pacer. Pacers must register and sign a waiver at the pavilion before starting. Again:Unauthorized pacing = disqualification. Please reach out if you are looking for a pacer, we may be able to connect you with a volunteer.
