Race day (AI-assisted text)
Packet pickup will likely be a lively affair, with runners already showing off their creative pajama outfits and plushie companions. The start line will probably be buzzing with laughter and excitement rather than intense pre-race focus. Pacing will be relaxed, with many participants walking or jogging casually, soaking in the campus environment and the camaraderie. Don't be surprised by fun photo ops and a generally festive, supportive vibe throughout the event.

Weather snapshot (AI-assisted text)
Taking place in Los Angeles in April, participants can generally expect mild to warm temperatures. Mornings are often cool and pleasant, but the sun can quickly warm things up, so dressing in layers for the "slumber party" theme might be wise. Humidity is typically low, making for comfortable running conditions.
Terrain & course feel (AI-assisted text)
As an event held on the UCLA campus, the terrain will most likely be paved roads and pathways. While a university campus can have some gentle undulations or slight inclines, a 5K course is generally designed to be accessible, so expect a relatively flat to gently rolling profile.
