Join us for the 38th running of the Tom Fleming Sunset Classic sponsored by Brookdale Shop Rite, which benefits the Bloomfield Educational Foundation and the Vocational Educational Special Training (V.E.S.T) program. 

We are the USATF-NJ COED Team Championship

There will be hot dogs. beverages, ice cream and beer. Fun for the whole family!! Kids Infield Sprints for 2 to 12 year olds, the growing Rick Petersen Mile for all ages and of course the Tom Fleming 5 Mile

Awards: 5 Mile Race

Top 3 overall open winners Male and Female: 1st Place $150  2nd Place $125  3rd Place $100

Top overall Male and Female Bloomfielder 

Top 3 Masters Male and Female based on PLP % : 1st $100, 2nd $75, 3rd $50

Age Group: Top 3 male and female in each division  - 10 to 13, 14 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 to 74, 75 to 79, 80 to 84, 85+

Awards Mile Race: Overall Male and Female - Medals to all finishers.

Parking:

• Parking lot behind the Town Pub 378 Broad St, Bloomfield
• Memorial Park Parking lot 7-11 Division St, Bloomfield
• Bloomfield Board of Ed parking lot 155 Broad Street - short warm up to Race Site at Foley Field
• Street parking on Baldwin St, Warren St, Osborne St, all off of Broad St.
• Broad St will be closed from Belleville Ave to Watchung Ave starting between 6:30 and 6:45pm.

Tom Fleming

Thomas J. Fleming was an American distance runner who won the 1973 and 1975 New York City Marathon. He was also a two time runner-up in the Boston Marathon in 1973 and 1974 and finished six times in the top ten in the BAA marathon. He was one of the founding fathers of the Sunset Classic.

Tuesday June 23 from 12 Noon to 6:00pm and Wednesday June 24 from 10:00am to 5:00pm

Race Day Registration June 25 at Bloomfield's Foley Field, starting at 5:00PM.

All Registrations will be online only this year so bring your smart phone to register at Fleet Feet on Tuesday or Wednesday and Race Day!  You can pay online with a CC, we also will accept checks made out to the BEF or cash at packet pick up or race day.
