Owensboro Family YMCA is proud to host the BBQ 5K on May 9th Downtown Owensboro.
This race is in conjunction with the 2026 BBQ & Barrels event and the community is invited to run or walk with us; competitive racers will stage in the front of the start line at 8:00 am and non-competitive racers will be at the back of the start line.
Registration Pricing: $35 for Adults - $20 for Children 1-18 (registration will discount at the cart)
Day of Race Registration: $40 (cannot guarantee shirt)
Bag pick up will be Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8 (5am to 9pm) at the Owensboro Family YMCA, 900 KY Parkway, Owensboro
Raceday Bag Pickup from 7-7:45am at race location
T-shirts (on registrations received by April 26th)
Awards Top male and top female will get $100 worth of prizes. Medals will be given to the top 3 racers in each age group. Age Groups: ( 1-10, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99 )
Be sure to visit the BBQ & Barrels festival which begins at Noon on Friday May 8 and Sat. May 9.
BBQ & Barrels represents the culmination of 45 years of a cultural tradition in Owensboro and Daviess County. It is the celebration of our past, our present, and our future, bringing together two of Owensboro’s greatest culinary traditions – unique barbecue and historic Kentucky bourbon.
