Batesville Day 10K – A Classic Virginia Race Since 1979
The Batesville Day 10K has been a local favorite since 1979, winding through the beautiful hills, orchards, and farmland of Virginia’s Blue Ridge foothills on paved country roads. Awards are given to top finishers, and thanks to our generous sponsors, every runner will take home a prize—plus a 2026 Batesville Day T-shirt or gift.
Known (somewhat notoriously) as “the only 10K in Virginia that starts and ends in the same place—and is all uphill,” this race is as fun as it is challenging. If you haven’t run it before, it’s a must: scenic, community-centered, and just 20 minutes from town.
New this year: Due to VDOT road improvements, we’re reversing the course. We can’t wait to see how that shakes up finish times!
After the race, stick around for the full Batesville Day experience —featuring the beloved parade, live music, cake walks, and plenty of small-town community fun.
And yes—our sponsors and prizes are seriously amazing. Check them out here.
