SATURDAY, AUGUST 22, 2026

General Race Information
  • All bikes (mountain, fat, and single-speed), race against each other in the following races - Expert, Sport, and Citizen. Class 1 Peddle Assist E-bikes are allowed in each race, but are not eligible for prizes. (Sorry, no Tandem bikes will be allowed)
  • The race start and finish are at the Birkie OO Trail Head, three miles east from Seeley on County Highway “OO”.
  • Each registered race participant will be given a food and beverage ticket.
  • Food and beverages will be available to non-racers at a nominal charge.
  • Award times TBD – we will update when known
Race Course Maps

Trail maintenance and logging may force changes - we will notify racers by email by Thursday, August 20th  and also have notices available when you pick up your race number.

Experts please note that your course has been lengthened by 0.5 miles and now includes a section near the end following the end portion of the Newbie course, that drops down Picnic Table Hill on the Birkie Trail and then follows a portion of the Makwa Trail back toward the long straightaway to the finish line. This section is not represented on the Expert course map here, but will be flagged on race day.

Registration Information - total combined riders limited to 300
(because of internet reliability -we have the following in place to ensure you are registered in the timing data base)
  • THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY - Registration closes on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 9:00 pm
  • Registered participants may change their event at bib pick up or by going to your RunSignUp registration account before picking up your bib
  • No changes on race day.
  • Event registrations are not transferable and fees are not refundable for any reason including race cancellation.

Open - July 26            EXPERT = $60    SPORT = $55     Sr CITIZEN = $45    

July 27 - Aug 16          EXPERT = $70    SPORT = $65     Sr CITIZEN = $55

Aug 17 - Aug 21          EXPERT = $80    SPORT = $75     Sr CITIZEN = $65

                                   Jr CITIZEN   - registration fee is set at $35 from Open registration thru August 21

Bib Pick-up Information
  • Location on both days -  Sawmill Saloon located on Highway 63 in Seeley, WI, located 10 miles north of Hayward.
  • Friday - Aug 21, 2026 from  5:00 pm – 9:00 pm                   
  • Race Day, Aug 22, 2026 from 8:00 am – 9:45 am  - (Be sure to allow at least 30 minutes to drive to 00, park and get to the start)
 
Individual Race Information
 
22 Mile EXPERT Race – 10 am start - 
  • A fast, technical, and physically challenging race course, for the advanced skilled, and conditioned riders age 15 and older. 
  • Prize $ for the first 3 overall men and women
  • Age Category awards for 15-19 and then every 10 years ages 20+ (20-29, 30 -39 etc.) for top 3 male and female riders
17 Mile SPORT Race – 9:45 am start 
  • A fast, less technical, yet challenging course for the moderately skilled and conditioned rider. For riders age 13 and older
  • Age Category awards for 13-19 and then every 10 years age 20+ (20-29, 30 -39 etc.) for top 3 male and female riders

12 Mile CITIZEN Race (Junior and Senior Divisions) – 9:30 am start 

  • A less technical, rolling course for beginner to moderately skilled and conditioned riders
  • Senior Division – ages 17+ with Age Category awards for 17-19 and then every 10 years 20+ (20-29, 30 -39 etc.) for top 3 male and female riders
  • Junior Division – ages 13 – 16 with Age Category 13 -16 for top 3 male and female riders.

3.5 Mile NEWBIE Race (added 2026) 9:15 am start

  • A fun, less technical course for newer riders.
  • Includes ski trails and single track for riders age 10+
  • Age Classes include 10, 11,12 and 13+. Category awards for top 3 male and female riders in Classes 10, 11 and 12. Other riders age 13 and above may race the course, will be provided with their finish time, but will NOT be eligible for any award

CUB EVENT 

  • The PreFat Kid’s event is back!
  • It will be held at approximately 12:30 (after most of the racers have finished) 
  • This event is open to anyone 10 and under.  Race is free!  (donations welcome)
  • Register in the kids tent on Saturday - each racer will need a signed waiver 
  • The riding will be supervised by members from the local bike team but parents are welcome to ride with their participant.
  • The racers will ride the last 2k of the race course and finish at the official finish gate. There is a turn off option for younger kids who do not want to ride the single track portion.
  • This is a fun event and will not be timed, riders can ride as many times as they want
  • Each rider will get a bike plate number and small token
