The Green YMCA presents its 14th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run. Please join us on Thanksgiving Morning!

?The Turkey Trot raises money for college scholarships for Green High School seniors. To date, GPA has donated over $41,000 in college scholarships to Green High School seniors.

Event Details

Event: 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Where: 1737 Steese Road., Green, Ohio, 44685. This is at the Green Memorial Stadium. Exit Route 241 at Steese Rd. Please park at the stadium before 7:20am. The school parking lots will be closed for the day. All traffic after 7:20 will be directed to Town Park Center.

When: Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 7:30AM (1 mile) and 8:00AM (5K).

5k Costs:

$30 “Preregistered.” Pre-registration ends on Wednesday, November 12th @ 5:00 PM; and $35 “Regular.” Regular registration starts on Wednesday, November 12th @ 5:01 PM and ends November 25th @ 5:00 PM. There will be no day of race registrations this year.

1-Mile Costs:

$15 for “Preregistered.” Pre-registration ends on November 12th; and $20 for “Regular.” Regular registration starts on November 13th @ and ends November 25th @ 5:00 PM.

Packet Pick-Up:

Early Packet Pickup (Highly Recommended) between November 13th – November 25th @ Green Family YMCA located at 3800 Massillon Rd, Uniontown, OH 44685 Monday- Thursdays- 6am – 8pm Fridays- 6am – 7pm Saturdays- 8am – 4pm Sundays- 1pm – 4pm

Race Day @ Green Memorial Stadium located at1737 Steese Rd, Uniontown, OH 44685 Thursday, November 27th from 6:30 am – 7:15 am.

RACE DAY PARKING: The stadium parking lot will be closed.

Please park at at the Middle School/CORE: 1711 Steese Rd, Green, OH 44685 lot or

at the Central Administration Building (or anywhere along Town Park Blvd.).

Please note that Town Park Blvd. will be closed at 7:15 am. After 7:15 am, all cars will be directed to the Middle Scool/CORE parking lot.

West bound traffic on Steese will be restricted from 7:30 am until 8:15 am. Please plan accordingly.

Please note that the stadium will not open until 6:30 am on November 27th.

Awards: 5K: Prizes for top 3 Male & Female in each class and top 3 Male & Female Overall. Age brackets are-14 & under, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & up. 1 Mile: Top 4 finishers.

**There will be a drawing for other prizes at the end of the race. Bring CANNED GOODS for tickets (3 items = 1 ticket)!! All canned food will be donated to the Akron-Canton Foodbank.
